All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

He has 4 puppy shots on board.  Rabies, Bordatella, HW prevention, Flea control, Microchip and now, neutered.

He is a great little dog who now (usually) goes clean and dry all night.

For the time being, all onsite adoption events are suspended.  As a result, we are scheduling Meet/Greets 1-on-1 with approved applicants only.

Thank you for considering adopting a rescued pet.  To help us offset some of the expense, there is a non-refundable $20 Application fee.  All applicants will be sent a donation receipt.

You may apply to adopt any of our pets from our web site.  Please visit www.yorkierescuehouston.org/forms  and submit your application. If you RENT, please submit the RENTERS application.  If you OWN, please submit the HOMEOWNER application. Upon review, a volunteer will contact you if there are questions.  If your application is approved, it will be forwarded to the foster for review.  If the foster feels this is a good fit, they will contact you to schedule a 'meet and greet' .

Our adoption fee varies with each dog and is listed on each pet’s profile.

We are currently accepting electronic payments via VENMO/Paypal only. 

If approved, you will need to download and set up that app on your phone.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
