All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Stumpy was surrendered when his owner faced a health crisis that prevented them from caring for this boy any longer.

Stumpy is so named because his mom ate his foot off when he was born!!

(not the first time we've seen this!)  He doesn't miss it.

Stumpy was neutered recently late and as a result, has developed a 'marking' habit.  He will need some help overcoming that behavior!  He currently uses belly bands.

Stumpy is being fostered in Burleson.  His adopter should live in the area or be prepared to travel, keeping in mind, this boy tends to get car-sick.

He's been well loved and well vetted.  He will make a wonderful companion.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
