All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

update:Eddie is the sweetest dog EVER. He is house trained. He loves to go for walks. He likes toys and will fetch a ball. He is cautious with new people but warms up to them quickly. 

Eddie was found in traffic brought to our vet.  We happened to be there when he was brought in and volunteered to take him in for his safety, comfort hand health.

Eddie is fully vetted and ready for a responsible home.  He needs a little boy to love on.

He isn't a fan of the crate and would rather cuddle with  you in bed.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
