All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Rosie was surrendered by her family with 4 of her puppies.  She was a very good momma, but she's ready to be someone's baby.

She's very sweet, and likes to keep her yard free from leaves and possible shadows!!  She walks GREAT on a leash. Rosie is very intelligent and playful - and therefore likes to be the BOSS!

She still can't 'hold it' all night, but we are working on that.

She is doing well with other dogs and is ready to be someone's baby!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.

If you fail to provide the information requested (Vet and/or personal reference contact information) YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE DENIED.
