All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Kate (and Pippa) were surrendered to our rescue due to health of the original owner.  They had been kenneled up to 14 hours a day.  That's no life for a little dog!

They both have collapsing trachea, but can be managed with routine vet care and recommended medications.

These girls are bonded and must be adopted together.  They are semi-house trained and will scratch at the door to go out, but will not hold it.

The adoption fee posted is for 1 dog, however you must adopt BOTH. (so double the fee)

These girls are fully vetted, spayed, chipped, dental, and groomed.  They are on a 6 month heartworm preventative and a 3 month flea control. (As of intake)

They are playful and happy little girls in spite of their age.  They are not 'cuddlers' but will allow affection.

Yorkie Rescue Houston is a 501(c)(3) charity as defined by the I.R.S.  All donations* are deductible within the limits set by them.  Your donations go toward medical exams, vaccinations, spay & neuter, medications, Heartworm treatment and prevention, supplies, boarding, training.  We rely  100% on donations from the public.  Please consider a becoming a sponsor or monthly donor!  You can send us donations via paypal to donate@yorkierescuehouston.org

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
