All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Surrendered when her owner found himself in need of housing, he made difficult decision to ask for help with this little girl.

Down on his luck for a while, she was not current on vaccines, spayed or on HW prevention.

We took care of all that.  She's a delightful little girl with lots of love to give.

She will do well in a home with children (over 3)

She is used to sleeping in her dad's bed, so if you can make room for her on your pillow, she would be grateful.  She is said to be good with cats!  She is however slightly intimidated by rowdy dogs.  They scare her.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
