All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Surrendered with her sister, This baby needs a new mom. She's a beautiful baby,  needs lot of love and reassurances.  She's social and playful.  Like any puppy, she needs love, patience, consistency, kindness, etc.  you know.  The things they ALL need! She's a wiggly happy baby!

Please do not apply if you have a child under age 5

in the home or if you are a senior citizen

Adoption fees are payable in CASH or VENMO.

Please be patient if our response time is not as quick as you'd like.  We are all volunteers and do as much as we can when we can.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
