All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

this heartworm lady was pulled from the Baytown Animal shelter.  She seems to prefer men over women, and has displayed some barrier reactivity.  She'd do best as an 'only dog' but has been in a pack with other dogs and done well.  She does NOT share, so for that reason, should be your only dog

Zoe is in treatment for her heartworms, (on our nickel) and is available for 'foster-to-adopt' while we pay for her treatment.

Your job is to love her thru her treatment.  Please apply to adopt this sweet girl!  She's a happy little girl and will need a quiet home as she goes through her treatment.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
