All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Owner surrender. Dillon is a sweet boy who is longing for love and attention. He has been passed around because nobody had time for him. This boy deserves a loving home. He follows commands well and we are currently working on potty training. I think he will learn quickly with someone that is home more often and can give it time and attention. We currently use belly bands and he is doing fine with them. He loves to play with his toys and go for walks. He was a bit of a nervous boy but is settling in comfortably. I suspect he has not had security and that is what he needs. Dillon needs his person to love and spend time with.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
