All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Kobee is an owner surrender.  He is blind in right eye but that doesn't slow him down! 

Kobee is ready for his forever home. He loves people, belly rubs, snuggling, car/boat/golf cart rides and treats! He can sit and lay down. He still needs help with "stay" and leash walking. He does spray inside when taken to a new place. He has been with his foster family now for 6 months, and no longer sprays in the house. He typically wears a wrap when taken to new places. He loves puppies and to play with dogs.

As his adopter, you must be prepared to keep Kobee on heartworm and flea prevention for the rest of his life.  Kobee is up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered and microchipped .

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
