All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Percy is a Harris County animal shelter pull.  He was skin and bones.  Yorkie Rescue Houston could NOT let him suffer.  We pulled him, took him straight to the veterinarian.

Do you love Chihuahuas, do you love Yorkies? 

Well, how would you like the best of both in a Chorkie named Percy! He is sweet as can be and just wants all of the love you have to give and little food would be great too! He would make a great addition to any home that wants a great snuggler and good guard dog the safety of your arms on the couch of course. He will announce any and all visitors and when they get close lick them to death. 

He is the best foster pup anyone could have and is ready for a forever home of his own. If you think you are up for the task, then fill out an application and make Percy a member of your family.

Yorkie Rescue Houston is a 501(c)(3) charity as defined by the I.R.S.  All donations* are deductible within the limits set by them.  Your donations go toward medical exams, vaccinations, spay & neuter, medications, Heartworm treatment and prevention, supplies, boarding, training.  We rely  100% on donations from the public.  Please consider a becoming a sponsor or monthly donor!  You can send us donations via paypal to donate@yorkierescuehouston.org

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
