All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Abandoned in famous 'SunnySide' this precious girl was in such bad shape neighbor didn't know if she was a boy or a girl.

Her owners left her behind when they moved, and the neighbor took her in and fed & watered her, but needed a long-term solution for her.  They reached out to us.  We agreed to help.

She's been to the vet and the groomer!  She needs to put on a pound or 2 but otherwise appears to be healthy!

She is very sweet.  

Dixie is a people dog. loves to be with her person.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
